NQM
Seed, prototype and scale-up funding for quantum technology startups and R&D routed through NQM Thematic Hubs.
Overview & Objective
Seed, prototype and scale-up funding for quantum technology startups and R&D routed through NQM Thematic Hubs.
Key Benefits & Funding
- Funding and institutional support for quantum R&D, prototypes, product development, and commercialisation through NQM T-Hubs.
- Startup support can include seed/prototype funding and scale-up support routed through T-Hubs/TIHs.
- Creation of skilled manpower, research infrastructure, and industry-academia collaboration in quantum technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic institutions, R&D labs, and consortia working in quantum computing, communication, sensing/metrology, and materials/devices.
- Startups working in quantum technology, preferably DPIIT-registered and Indian-owned/controlled as per startup support guidelines.
- For teaching lab support, eligible institutions include Government-funded/aided technical institutions/universities and eligible AICTE/UGC-recognised institutions meeting quality benchmarks.
How to Apply
Startups apply through online calls/challenges; applications are evaluated on need, feasibility, impact, novelty, team strength, and fund-utilization plan. Other applicants apply through DST/NQM calls or the relevant Thematic Hub (T-Hub) based on the focus area
